Following the success of their Japanese-speaking virtual YouTuber series,
entertainment company Cover Corporation and its subsidiary Hololive Production
decided to branch out into the English market. Mori Calliope, one of the
company's first generation of English-language VTubers, was first revealed on
September 8, 2020, in a short promotional video that also featured the other
four members of the Hololive Myth project. Later that year, she made her music
