Lavonne Alford, known professionally as M-1 and also using the alias Mutulu
Olugbala, is an American rapper and activist from Brooklyn, New York. Born on
July 25, 1975, M-1 gained prominence as one half of the political hip hop duo
Dead Prez alongside Stic.man. His first solo album, Confidential, credited to
Dead Prez Presents M-1, was released in March 2006 through Sotti/Koch Records
and featured the song "'Till We Get There" on EA Sports game NBA Live 2007.
