Molesta Ewenement was formed in 1995 in Warsaw, Poland, by rappers Piotr “Vienio” Więcławski and Paweł “Włodi” Włodkowski, later joined by Marek “Kaczy” Andrasik as Mistic Molesta. Their breakthrough came with the debut studio album Skandal (1998), supported by the singles “Armagedon” and “Wiedziałem, że tak będzie”, which reached numbers 13 and 29, respectively, on the Szczecińska Lista Przebojów, a listener-voted chart broadcast by Polish regional station Radio Szczecin.
