Modern Folk Üçlüsü are a Turkish music trio formed in July 1969. The ensemble
was founded by Doğan Canku, Ahmet Kurtaran, and Selami Karaibrahimgil and is
recognized for blending Turkish folklore with modern arrangements. They achieved
professional recognition accompanying Esin Afşar on the track “Bebek” (1969)
before producing their own records in 1970, including the singles “Deriko & Ali
Paşa Ağıdı” (1970) and “Sarhoş Oğlan & Leblebi” (1970). The trio participated in
