Miriam Toukan
Miriam Toukan (مريم طوقان), born in 1982 in I'billin, Israel, is a Palestinian
Christian singer and peace activist. Her musical journey began with local
performances in I'billin before she appeared on the reality show Kokhav Nolad 5
in 2007, becoming the first Arab contestant and finishing ninth. In 2012, she
released an Arabic rendition of Fun's song "We Are Young", and in 2013 she
founded the cultural project Quartetoukan, aiming to unite peoples through
music; the quartet performed at the Cyprus Rialto World Music Festival and at a
2022 regional cooperation festival in Morocco...
