Miles was a German indie‑rock group originating from Würzburg, founded in 1992
by Tobias Kuhn and Gilbert Hartsch in the schoolyard. The duo expanded with
drummer Andreas Wecklein and bassist René Hartmann, who was later replaced in
2001 by Nina Kränsel. The band’s breakthrough came with the debut album Baboon
in 1994, released on their own Spool Records, followed by The Day I Vanished in
1998 and the self‑titled Miles in 2000 on V2 Records; the latter included the
