Uwe-Michael Wischhof, known professionally as Mike Mareen, was born on November
9, 1949, in Berlin, Germany. He began his musical journey as a drummer for the
group Cemetery Institution and later moved to New York, where he played with
various bands. Returning to Germany, Mike Mareen took theater and piano lessons
before releasing his debut single "Für Dich Fang Ich Heut Ein Neues Leben An" in
1974. His early career included singles like "Wo Bist Du Gestern Gewesen"
