Mike Hart
Michael William Hart, born December 3, 1943, in Bebington, Merseyside, was an
English singer-songwriter and poet who died June 22, 2016. In 1962, he founded
The Roadrunners, performing at the Cavern Club and the Star-Club in Hamburg,
before joining the poetry and music collective The Liverpool Scene in 1965. He
recorded the group's 1968 album The Amazing Adventures Of... before issuing his
debut solo album Mike Hart Bleeds in 1969 on John Peel's Dandelion Records. The
track "Almost Liverpool 8" earned a selection on Peel's Peelennium list. Hart
