Mika Bomb
Mika Bomb, a Japanese pop punk band based in London, was formed in 1998 when
lead singer Mika Handa arrived in the city. The group's initial lineup included
guitarist Agi, bassist Mika Kanayama, and drummer Ergi. In 2000, they signed
with Grand Royal Records and released their single, "SuperSexyRazorHappyGirls",
followed by Heart Attack. Their debut album, The Fake Fake Sound of Mikabomb,
was released in 2001 on the Damaged Goods label. The band's distinctive sound
fused Motown, New York punk, 1950s garage rock, and Japanese pop. In 2005, they
released their second album, Hellcat...
