Michelle Jacqueline Chamuel, born in 1986 in Wellesley, Massachusetts, is an American singer, songwriter, and producer who began piano and violin lessons at an early age and later studied performing arts technology at the University of Michigan. Her first notable public exposure came in 2007 when she joined the Ann Arbor‑based band My Dear Disco, later renamed Ella Riot, as lead vocalist; the group released the studio album Dancethink in 2008 and the EP Love Child in 2011 before going on hiatus.
