John Gosling, born October 16, 1963, in Brighton, United Kingdom, is an English
electronic musician best known by the stage name Mekon. Early in his career, he
co‑founded Zos Kia and Psychic TV, later collaborating with Coil on Transparent
and producing for Bass‑o‑Matic alongside William Orbit. Mekon’s breakthrough
came with the single "Phatty's Lunch Box" followed by "Revenge of the Mekon",
which featured gangster Frankie Fraser and marked his entry into the big‑beat
