Medina Azahara is a Spanish rock band from Córdoba, Andalusia, formed in 1979.
Their debut album, Paseando por la mezquita (1980), was released via CBS and
established their fusion of hard rock and Andalusian musical influences. Early
albums include La esquina del viento (1981) and Andalucía (1982), which helped
define their symphonic rock style. After a transitional period in the mid-1980s,
the band continued recording and later signed with Avispa Music, releasing
