McBride & The Ride, an American country music band, was formed in 1989 with Terry McBride on lead vocals and bass guitar, Ray Herndon on background vocals and guitars, and Billy Thomas on background vocals and drums. Their breakthrough came with "Can I Count on You", which reached number 15 on the Billboard country charts, leading to their first album, Burnin' Up the Road (1990).
