MC Rene
René El Khazraje, known professionally as MC Rene, was born on 11 September 1976
in Braunschweig, Germany, and emerged as a German‑Moroccan rapper and singer. He
began performing in 1991 at hip‑hop jams and joined the group State of
Departmentz, releasing a track on the 1993 sampler That’s Real Underground. His
breakthrough came with the 1994 single "Die Neue Reimgeneration" and the 1995
release of his debut album Renevolution on MZEE Records. In 1999, after a
contract stalemate with MZEE, he released the Reneflektion compilation and
featured on DJ Tomekks "1, 2, 3… Rhymes Galore...
