Mazo was a Spanish heavy metal band formed in Madrid in 1981. The group
consisted of Julio Díaz on bass and vocals, Manolo Caño on drums, and José
Miguel Martínez on guitar and vocals. In 1982, Mazo released their self-titled
debut album Mazo through Mercury Records, accompanied by the singles "Balada
cafre" and "Vive la música (parte 1)/Vive la música (parte 2)". The band
disbanded shortly after. In 1989, a split album titled ¡¡Con toda la fuerza!!
was released, featuring three tracks from Mazo and five from the band Júpiter.
