Mattos Nascimento, born on June 2, 1954 in Brazil, is a singer, musician, composer, and trombonist. In the 1980s, he performed with the Brazilian band Os Paralamas do Sucesso. On November 19, 1989, following his conversion to Christianity, Mattos Nascimento dedicated himself exclusively to a solo career in gospel music.
