Matthew "Mattie" Montgomery, born on July 24, 1987, is an American musician and
the former lead vocalist and frontman of Christian metal band For Today. He
began his musical journey at age fifteen, inspired by bands like Senses Fail and
A Static Lullaby. In 2007, he replaced Matt Tyler as the frontman of For Today.
With For Today, Montgomery released six albums, including Immortal (2012), which
peaked at number 15 on the U.S. charts. The band embarked on extensive tours
