Marlango
Marlango, a Spanish jazz/blues/pop band, was formed by Leonor Watling and
Alejandro Pelayo. The group's name comes from Tom Waits' "I Wish I Was in New
Orleans". In 1998, Watling and Pelayo recorded a demo with fourteen piano and
voice tracks, setting the stage for their debut album Marlango (2004), which
blended rock, jazz, and cabaret influences. The album earned a gold disc from
Pedro Almodóvar for selling over 50,000 copies. Their second album, Automatic
Imperfection (2005), also achieved gold status in Spain. In 2014, they released
