Mark Daryl Nightingale, born on May 29, 1967 in Evesham, Worcestershire,
England, is a trombonist known for his contributions to jazz. He began playing
the trombone at age nine and was part of the Midland Youth Jazz Orchestra and
the National Youth Jazz Orchestra during his teens. Nightingale attended Trinity
College of Music from 1985 to 1988. His first band as leader was a trombone
quintet called Bonestructure. He toured and recorded with James Morrison in
Europe from 1994 to 1997, and has collaborated with artists such as Sting, Louie
