Marija Naumova
Marija Naumova, born on June 23, 1973, in Riga, Latvian SSR, Soviet Union, is a
Latvian singer. She was discovered by Raimonds Pauls in 1994 and began
performing on television shortly after. Naumova participated in the Latvian
preselection for the Eurovision Song Contest multiple times before winning in
2002 with "I Wanna". This victory gave Latvia its first and only Eurovision win
to date. Following her success, Naumova released several albums, including On a
Journey (2002) and Noslēpumi (2002), and co-hosted the Eurovision Song Contest
