Maricris Garcia
Maria Cristina "Maricris" Yu Garcia-Cruz, known professionally as Maricris
Garcia, was born on September 26, 1987, in Caloocan, Philippines, and is a
Filipino singer and actress. She gained prominence after winning the third
season of Pinoy Pop Superstar in 2007 with her rendition of "One Voice" by Barry
Manilow. Throughout her career, she has contributed to various soundtracks,
including "Nang Dahil Sa Iyo" from Mga Mata ni Anghelita and "Iniibig Kita" from
MariMar. She won the Best New Female Recording Artist award at the 1st PMPC Star
Awards for Music in October 2009.
