Marcus Canty, born January 22, 1991 in Washington, D.C., is an American R&B singer. Raised in Landover, Maryland by his single mother, Canty began performing at age three and discovered his singing talent at eleven. His breakthrough moment came during the first season of The X Factor USA, where he was eliminated in the semi-final round.
