Márcia Freire, born in Salvador, Brazil, is a singer known for her contributions
to the Axé genre. She began her musical journey performing in local bars and
small events in Bahia before gaining prominence by participating in the 1985
Carnival of Salvador with the bloco Free-Lance. In 1986, Freire joined the group
Cheiro de Amor, achieving significant success over a decade-long tenure. After
leaving the group in 1996, she embarked on a solo career, releasing her debut
