Marc Dorsey, born Marc‑Dewaine Hample Dorsey in 1971 in Washington, D.C., is an
American R&B singer who emerged from the New York music scene. He first
attracted attention with a cover of "People Make the World Go Round" for Spike
Lee’s 1994 film Crooklyn, a track that appeared on the soundtrack and introduced
