Mallacán, a rock group from Zaragoza, Spain, was formed in 1992. The band is
known for its use of the Aragonese language and its ideological alignment with
left-wing Aragonesism. Their first recording was the cassette Entalto a
reboluzión! released in 1995. Mallacán's discography includes Luen d'o paradiso
in 1999, Chera chera! in 2002, País zierzo in 2005, and Mar de suenios in 2009.
The band's music blends rock, folk, ska, and reggae, with notable use of
traditional Aragonese instruments such as the gaita de boto and dulzaina
aragonesa.
