Mads Mathias
Mads Mathias, born January 9, 1981, in Silkeborg, Denmark, is a Danish jazz
singer, saxophonist, and songwriter. He grew up in Silkeborg and Tanzania, began
playing saxophone at age 11, and after a car accident at age 17 that injured his
hand, he turned to singing and songwriting. He later regained his ability to
play the saxophone and earned a diploma from the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in
2007. He formed the Mads Mathias Orchestra and released Free Falling (2012),
winning the Danish Music Award for Best New Danish Jazz Artist. In 2021, he
