Gloria Lavern Collins, known professionally as Lyn Collins, is an American soul singer born on June 12, 1948. She began her recording career at age 14 and initially played with Charles Pike & The Scholars before sending a demo tape to James Brown. After working with Brown's touring lineup, she released her first single "Wheel of Life" in 1971 on King Records. In 1972, Collins signed with Polydor and People Records, where she recorded the gospel-style song "Think (About It)", produced by James Brown.
