Sophie Morgan Howarth, known professionally as Luvcat, was born in 1996 in
Merseyside, Liverpool, United Kingdom. She is a singer and guitarist who
initially gained prominence under her real name, Sophie Morgan. After meeting
Simon Jones of the Verve at age 16, she began recording music in his Chester
studio. Her first single "Marionette" was released in 2016, followed by her
debut EP Annie in October 2017. In 2018, Morgan released her second EP Sons &
Daughters, which received critical acclaim for its simplicity and vocal quality.
