Luisito Rey
Luisito Rey, born Luis Gallego Sánchez in Cádiz, Spain, on June 28, 1945, was a
Spanish singer, songwriter, and guitarist who began his career in flamenco
before adopting his stage name. The child of flamenco singers, he won his first
radio contest on the Cádiz show Café de redacción at a young age, subsequently
adopting the stage name Luis Gasán to tour Spain with the group Los Joselitos
del Cante. He relocated to Madrid in 1954 to perform in the film Pobre niña
