Luis Felipe Silva Pérez was born on 5 January 1962 in Santa Rosa, Estado
Barinas, Venezuela, and began singing llanera music at a young age. He composed
his first song, "El Corderito", at twelve and entered the music scene in the
late 1980s, earning the title Mejor Cantante de Música Criolla in 1993. His
breakthrough came with the 1994 performance of "Enfurecida" at the Festival OTI
in Valencia, Spain, where he placed third. Luis Felipe Silva Pérez released 16
