Luis Demetrio Traconis Molina was born on April 21, 1931, in Mérida, Yucatán,
Mexico. He was a singer and composer who began playing a harmonica at age three
and composed his first song at 12. In 1950, Molina recorded “Yo No Sé Qué Siento
Aquí” with the Avileño trio. By 1954, he joined Pérez Prado's orchestra and
later collaborated with Ninon Mondéjar’s Latin Cuban orchestra. His
international hit “Sway”, co-written with Pablo Beltrán Ruiz and Norman Gimbel,
