Luifer Cuello
Luifer Cuello is a Colombian vallenato singer and composer who was born as Luis
Fernando Cuello Mera in 1984 in Valledupar. He is considered a primary precursor
of the “Nueva Ola” movement in vallenato music. Cuello achieved national
prominence after forming a duo with the accordionist Manuel Julián Martínez in
2003 and releasing the debut studio album La Nueva Ola (2004), which earned him
the “Artista Revelación del Año” award at the Premios Luna. He followed this
