María Isabel Rodríguez Lineros, known professionally as Lucía, is a Spanish
singer born on April 2, 1965, in Seville, Spain. She started her career as part
of a flamenco ensemble at a local tablao and released her debut album Por estar
contigo in 1981. Lucía gained prominence after appearing on the television
program Aplauso, leading to the re-release of her debut album under her stage
name. Her breakthrough came when she represented Spain at the Eurovision Song
Contest in 1982 with the song "Él", finishing in 10th place. Following this,
