Lowlife, a Scottish alternative rock/dream pop band, was formed in 1985 and
featured Craig Lorentson on lead vocals. The group's origins trace back to an
early-1980s psychobilly band called Dead Neighbours, which included Lorentson
and later bassist Will Heggie from Cocteau Twins. In 1984, the band rechristened
themselves as Lowlife and released their first mini-album Rain in 1985 on
