Louise Tucker, an English mezzo-soprano opera singer from Bristol, was born in
1956. She trained as an opera singer at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama
in London. Her breakthrough came in the early 1980s when she collaborated with
record producers Charlie Skarbek and Tim Smit to release two albums that blended
her classically-trained operatic voice with synthpop music. The first album,
