Los Pasteles Verdes was formed in the early 1970s in Chimbote, Peru, by brothers
guitarist Víctor Hugo Acuña and keyboardist César Acuña. The group’s early
lineup included vocalist Aldo Guibovich, singer German Laos, drummer Jorge Luis
Príncipe, bassist Miguel Moreno, and percussionist Juan Vásquez. Their
breakthrough came with the single “Angelitos Negros”, which achieved widespread
success across Latin America and preceded the release of their debut album
