Los Encargados was an Argentine techno-pop band formed in Buenos Aires in 1982.
Led by Daniel Melero, the group is widely regarded as the first techno-pop band
in Argentina, combining the rhythms of techno with synth-pop melodies. The band
gained critical acclaim after performing at the 1982 Buenos Aires Rock festival,
despite a hostile reception from the audience. After recording two unreleased
albums for independent labels, Los Encargados issued their only commercially
