Los del Fuego was founded in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on 4 May 1984 by vocalist
Juan Carlos Mascheroni, guitarist Julio “Momocho” Peralta, bassist
Julio “Muerto” Peralta, and timbalero Sergio Ricardo “El Pato” Torres. The
group’s early background was rooted in cumbia santafesina, with Mascheroni
previously recording two albums with Los del Bohío in 1982 and 1983. Their
breakthrough came with the 1984 debut album Hay Que Luchar para Seguir, which
established their presence in the Argentine cumbia scene. Over the next decade,
Los del Fuego released a steady stream of albums-Que No ...
