Loona
Loona was born on September 16, 1974 in Maastricht in the Netherlands. Her real
name is Marie-José van der Kolk. She is a Dutch singer in the Eurodance, Latin
pop and dance genres. Marie-José van der Kolk began working with producer DJ
Sammy in 1998. In 1998, she launched her solo career under the stage name Loona.
She made her mark on the European dance scene of the late 1990s and early 2000s
with catchy summer hits. Her breakthrough came in 1998 with the single
