Londonbeat
Founded in London, England in 1988, Londonbeat are a British dance-pop band
originally formed by American singers Jimmy Helms, Jimmy Chalmers, George
Chandler and British instrumentalist William Henshall. Their first single
“There’s a Beat Going On”, became a top 10 hit in The Netherlands, followed by
“9 A.M (The Comfort Zone)” which attained moderate commercial success in the
United Kingdom, with both songs included on the group’s 1998 album Speak.
