London Philharmonic Choir is one of the leading independent British choirs in
the United Kingdom, based in London. Founded in 1946, emerged as an independent
mixed‑voice choir with more than 200 members. Its early breakthrough came with
the 1947 recording of Stravinsky’s Symphony of Psalms with the London
Philharmonic Orchestra and the 1948 BBC radio broadcasts of Vaughan Williams’s
