Loïc Emboulé is an author, composer and performer of Caribbean music from
Guadeloupe. Nephew of singer Jean-Claude Emboulé, he took his turn in the music
business, releasing his first album Chimen Trasé in 2010, followed two years
later by Kwònik Kréyol. By 2013, he had moved away from traditional zouk to
create a new Creole style he called NiiuKa, renewing and modernizing the gwo ka
genre. He put this musical trend into practice on the album Génèse (2016), which
