Living in a Box was a British pop group formed in 1985, originating from
Sheffield. The band consisted of Anthony "Tich" Critchlow on drums and Marcus
Vere on keyboards and synthesizers, with Richard Darbyshire as the lead
vocalist. Their breakthrough came with their debut single "Living in a Box,"
which was produced by Richard James Burgess. Released in 1987, this song reached
number 5 on the UK Singles Chart and peaked at number 34 on the Billboard Hot
