Little Willie Littlefield
Willie Littlefield Jr., known professionally as Little Willie Littlefield, was
born on September 16, 1931, in El Campo, Texas. He began his musical journey at
16, performing in local clubs and recording for Eddie Henry's label. His
breakthrough came in 1949 with "It's Midnight", a single released by Modern
Records that reached number 3 on Billboard’s Rhythm & Blues chart. This success
led to further hits like "Farewell" (number 5) and collaborations with notable
