Lionel Suarez
Lionel Suarez, born 15 January 1977 in Rodez, Aveyron, is a French accordionist,
drummer and composer who began studying accordion, piano and solfège under
François Aceti at eight and performed publicly by fifteen. After graduating from
the Conservatoire de Marseille with a Premier prix and a gold medal, he entered
the Toulouse jazz circuit, collaborating with JeHaN and later forming the duo
Minvielle + Suarez with André Minvielle, which toured extensively from 2006. His
debut album Tandem (2011) with André Minvielle received critical acclaim,
followed by Cocanha ! (2013) and Qua...
