Lillian Roth, born Lillian Rutstein on December 13, 1910 in Boston,
Massachusetts, was an American actress and singer. She began her career at age
six as the face of Educational Pictures. In the late 1920s, Roth signed a
seven-year contract with Paramount Pictures, starring in films like The Love
