Lía Crucet, born Delia Crucet on August 8, 1952, in Gerli, Argentina, was an
Argentine singer, model, vedette, and actress known for her contributions to
cumbia and tropical music. She began her career in the theater of revue and
television, taking her first steps as a vedette at the Teatro Maipo in Buenos
Aires. Her breakthrough in music came toward the end of the 1980s when she
signed with the Leader Music record label and released her debut album Yo no soy
