Leone Magiera (born June 26, 1934) is an Italian classical pianist and conductor
from Modena. Magiera performed a first concert at age 12 and graduated from the
Arrigo Boito Conservatory in 1952. In 1959, the pianist began teaching at the
Giovanni Battista Martini Conservatory. Magiera instructed students including
Peter Glossop, Ruggero Raimondi, and Luciano Pavarotti. Magiera and his first
wife, soprano Mirella Freni, collaborated on multiple operatic productions. As a
