Lenny Hambro
Lenny Hambro, born Leonard William Hambro on October 16, 1923, in the Bronx, New
York, was a jazz musician who played woodwinds. He began his career in the early
1940s, playing primarily the alto saxophone with various notable bands and
orchestras. His initial recordings include singles like "Ham Nose" c/w "Try a
Little Tenderness" (1953) and "Mambo Barbarita" c/w "Feeding the Chicken"
