Las Jilguerillas was a Mexican ranchera duo consisting of sisters Imelda and
María Amparo Higuera, originating from Cañada de Ramírez, Michoacán. They
started singing together as children and were discovered by another sibling duo,
Dueto América, in the 1950s. Their records were arranged and produced by
Gilberto Parra and Cornelio Reyna. Their first official single "Chaparrita
Consentida" was released in 1955, propelling them to fame across Mexico and
